As the leaves start to turn and the air takes on that crisp, invigorating chill, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement for all the adventures that autumn brings. As a dog walker, this season is especially magical, the weather brings out so many new sights and smells for dogs, and I love to watch dogs exploring this season. Not only this, but autumn is also my personal favourite season, pretty orange leaves, Halloween and the lead up to Christmas!
In this post, I’ll share my top finds for dogs for Autumn 2024!
My first pick is this gorgeous brown/beige turtle neck jumper, I think it's so bloody cute! This would be super suited to those dog with shorter hair and more of a slim build, as they struggle a little in cooler temperatures, and the great thing about this purchase would be, that it would see you through winter also! It comes in a huge range of sizes, and even a few other colours. In my eyes, this is a worthwhile purchase for the autumn/winter months. You can find it here: Turtle Neck Jumper
My next find is this pretty pair of autumn theme/colour tartan pet bandanas. These are sure to suit any breed and any cot colour. They are the perfect addition to any pups wardrobe for Autumn 2024.
Take a look at them here: Autumn Bandanas
The third find on my list is this beautiful brown towel robe! This is so handy for popping onto your pup after a soggy walk, or even a bath, not only does it keep them warm, but it also draws out the moisture from their fur. Being brown, it follows the theme of autumn, and also I guess this means that mud is less likely to stain lol! This comes in a variety of colours, have a look: Brown Drying Robe
Previously mentioned in my last blog post - which you can read here: Braving the Strom - 5 Essential Items for a Perfect Rainy Dog Walk
this fleece-lined waterproof dog coat is perfect for the autumn months, especially with the amount of rain we are having already! Take a look here: Waterproof Dog Coat
Now this is my ABSOLUTE favourite find when researching for this blog post! I don't know why, but highland cows scream autumn to me. How cute is this matching set, including a harness, a bandana & a collar, all in a beautiful teal colour, guaranteed to look amazing on any pup. Find them here: Harness, Collar & Bandana
This dark wood storage/toy box is giving hugeeeee autumn vibes! Whether used just for autumn or all year round, this would make a stunning addition to any home. Its currently a best seller on amazon and you can find it here: Wooden Storage Box
If anyone knows me well, they would know that I'm a huge sucker for anything leopard print, I reckon I'd have a whole room in my flat dedicated to it if I could lol. This would be an instant purchase if I had a pup of my own, its a beautiful leopard print dog collar. You can find it here, but beware, its almost out of stock: Leopard Print Collar
These clip-on dog collar lights are a favourite of mine, they are also mentioned in my previous blog post, they are an essential as the nights draw in earlier; for added safety when walking, you can read about their benefits here: Blog Post.
You can find these specific ones here: Dog Collar Clip-on Lights.
Now the temperatures have dropped, and its no longer too hot for walkies, you'll need to get stocked up on treaties for good behaviour when out walking. These treats are perfect, they are small, perfect bite-sized, and they don't have any nasty chemicals or additives in them! You can find them here: Training Treats
If your dog doesn't normally go for biscuit treats and prefers something a little bit more high reward, then these salmon bites are a great option! Natural treats are definitely the way to go, and better for sensitive tummies.
You can find these exact ones here: Salmon Bites
I have heard so many good things about these grooming wipes, they're perfect for giving paws a quick wipe down before going inside or before hopping up into the car. They are thick, plant-based and unscented, making them super-safe for puppers! Take a look: Grooming Wipes
These large, super absorbent dog towels are perfect for a wet autumn season. They are microfibre and quick drying, and they even have little pockets for human hands to slot into when drying your pup, which means you don't have to touch wet grubby dogs! Here they are: Dog Towels
These last two finds are dedicated to those canines who may struggle in the autumn weather, the ones who despise the rain. If you'd like to keep your pup busy and mentally stimulated, try giving them a natural chew indoors! These yak chews are perfect for those super-chewers, they're long lasting and super yummy for those pups! You can grab a bag here: Yak Chews
Finally, on my list of finds, is this variety snuffle mat. This is for those puppers that refuse to walk in the rain, simply hide some treats in each section and let those canine noses get to work. Not only is this fun, its also extremely mentally stimulating, its a good alternative to a short walk! You can find this here: Snuffle Mat
